Unterberg 23, Maria Alm. The address may sound unremarkable, but the location is anything but. The hotel is situated right next to the Aberg ski center. The valley station is adjacent, the hiking bus stop is 100 meters away, and the village center is just a few minutes’ walk. Once you’ve checked in, you won’t need your car again until you depart.
Unser Unterberg is located directly in the village center of Maria Alm, Unterberg 23. Free parking is available in front of the hotel.
From Munich:
A8 to Siegsdorf/Inzell exit, continue via Lofer and Saalfelden to Maria Alm. Toll-free arrival possible.
From Vienna:
A1 to Salzburg, then A10 Tauernautobahn to Bischofshofen exit, continue via Mühlbach am Hochkönig to Maria Alm.
From Innsbruck:
A12 to Wörgl, continue via St. Johann in Tirol, Lofer and Saalfelden to Maria Alm.
From the South (Klagenfurt/Villach):
Via Villach, Schwarzach/St. Veit, Zell am See and Saalfelden to Maria Alm.
The nearest train station is Saalfelden, approx. 5 km from Maria Alm. From there, regional bus line 620 goes directly to Maria Alm, and the ski bus stops in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
Train connections and timetables can be found at oebb.at. Direct connections are available from Vienna (IC or Westbahn to Bischofshofen or Saalfelden) and Munich (continue via Salzburg to Saalfelden), among others. As an overnight guest in Salzburger Land, you can use all public transport free of charge with the Guest Mobility Ticket.
The nearest airports are Salzburg (SZG, approx. 80 km) and Munich (MUC, approx. 140 km). From Salzburg Airport, you can continue by bus, train, or taxi to Saalfelden and from there to Maria Alm.
There is also an airport shuttle service that goes directly to Maria Alm – information can be found at eder-reisen-taxi.at.

A Short Walk to the Valley Station
Ski-in, ski-out: Hotel Unser Unterberg is located right next to the Aberg ski centre. Put on your ski boots and off you go – straight into the heart of the 120 km of perfectly groomed slopes in the Hochkönig ski area. The car stays put, in front of one of the houses, until departure.
Starting Point for Many Hikes
From the doorstep, you head straight into the mountain world of the Hochkönig region. Short distances to numerous hiking trails in the surrounding area – whether an easy family loop or a tour for summit seekers, the right route is never far away.
For those who prefer even more freedom and space: Our apartment house is right next door.
If you prefer to set your own pace, the apartment house is the better choice. Your own kitchen, your own four walls, balcony with mountain views – and when you get a craving for Pinzgau cuisine, the restaurant is just a few steps away.
