Summer Vacation Maria Alm am Hochkönig
340 kilometers of hiking trails.Six mountain lifts.
One summer is not enough.
Unser Unterberg is just as good in summer as in winter. The hiking bus stops 100 meters away, the mountain lift runs free with the HochkönigCard, and the trails begin where the road ends.
Maria Alm is not a bad-weather program. Hiking on the Natrun adventure mountain, mountain biking on flow trails or forest paths to the alpine pasture, climbing on the Hochkönig at various difficulty levels, archery on the 3D course at Jufenalm. For those seeking competition: The HochkönigMan (trail running) and the Hunstoa-Biag-di race (MTB uphill, the toughest in Pinzgau) both take place here in summer. And for those who simply see how far they get – that’s also a plan.
From the alpine pasture
to the summit.
Approximately 340 certified hiking kilometers in the region, over 50 of them with managed alpine pastures along the way. A leisurely loop on the Natrun adventure mountain for families, the summit of the Steinernes Meer for those with more ambition – the range is wide. Six summer mountain lifts take you up if you want to save your legs or simply spend more time at the top.
Climbing
The Hochkönigfrom above.
The Hochkönig offers routes at all difficulty levels, from first attempts to challenging ascents. At the top awaits a view that justifies the climb – of the Hochkönig region, the Steinernes Meer, the Salzburg region. What you only sense from the slope or hiking trail reveals itself here from above.
Up by lift.
Down with momentum.
An extensive network of cycling paths, flow trails, and forest roads leads up to the alpine pastures. Go up with the mountain lift and ride down – or tackle the entire route yourself. For e-bikers, the Hochkönig region offers charging stations along the routes, making it the first and only holiday destination of its kind worldwide. Enjoy Kaiserschmarrn at the hut while your bike recharges – not a bad plan.
Archery
Pure concentrationat Jufenalm.
Concentration, silence, hits. The 3D archery course at Jufenalm has over 10 targets and is suitable for first attempts as well as experienced archers. A different outdoor experience than hiking or biking – quieter, more focused, surprisingly effective after an active day.
