Holiday in Maria Alm
Where the Hochkönigtouches the sky.
Here, the mountains are not just a backdrop. They are the main event. With the districts of Hintermoos and Hinterthal, there is always something going on in Maria Alm all year round – on the slopes in winter, on the trails in summer, and in the village all year round.
Right in the Aberg ski centre, you are exactly where you should be: put on your ski boots, take a few steps, and you are right in the middle of 120 km of pistes. If you prefer to head off-piste, you will find cross-country ski trails, toboggan runs, ice-stock lanes – or hop into a horse-drawn sleigh for a romantic ride.
In summer, Maria Alm shows a different side. The mountains stay the same; only the pace changes. The Natrun adventure mountain has room for families, the Steinernes Meer for everyone looking for summits. And as a pilgrimage destination, Maria Alm has its own traditions: the Bauernherbst, the weekly village festival.
Enjoy winter
in Maria Alm
Powder snow as far as the eye can see. Skiing on 120 km of pistes, cross-country skiing through the trails of the Salzburg mountains – winter here is not a cliché, but everyday life.
Summer in the
Hochkönig region
Different season, different view. Hiking, mountain biking, climbing – in summer, the flora and fauna of the Hochkönig region show their calmer side.
